Coffee since times immemorial has been the activator element to mankind. With its various health benefits like lowering the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, Alzeihmer's, Parkinson's disease, 2 cups of coffee a day is considered good for health.

When diabetes is taken into consideration, the effect of coffee remains tricky. Various studies conducted on different sets of people revealed that caffeine in coffee results in increased sugar levels by 8% compared to diabetic people who had not consumed coffee. However, a decaf coffee is effective in maintaining the sugar levels normal.

Coffee helps reduce the risk of diabetes in non-diabetic people. Some studies have revealed that people who consume 3 cups of coffee everyday have 37% lower risk of diabetes. The polyphenols present in coffee have anti aging properties as well.

Thus, it can be said that coffee can have negative impact, decaf coffee can have a positive impact on diabetics and coffee reduces the risk of developing diabetes in non-diabetic people.
