How is measuring BBT different from LH Surge method of ovulation prediction?

The major difference is that BBT measures temperature variations and LH surge measures variation in Luteinizing Hormone which is one of the hormones regulating menstrual cycle and ovulation. Following are some of the differences between the two methods:
