I recommend 10 minutes daily for at least two to three weeks, you need to get comfortable with sitting down every day, for a single purpose - meditation. After that, see how you feel and whether you'd like to go further - up to 15 minutes.

Though, it's worth mentioning that meditation itself will teach you what is the best time to sit down for, it's a very natural process, and you shouldn't overcomplicate it.
