Here it is important to know that meditation is not thinking, mood-making or concentration. Meditation is the art of doing nothing... it is de-concentration. However, the result of meditation is concentration. It is one of the natural benefits. It is therefore better to first learn from a proper teacher, and once you have learned you can of course practice it on your own, at home as well.
