Your yoga practice is just that – a practice. The physical practice of yoga not only keeps you in good physical health, but also creates an environment that allows you to monitor and control your thoughts – harness the power of your mind. As you move through difficult yoga poses, your muscles may burn, it an be difficult to breathe or you may get bored just holding a pose. This is the whole point of your physical yoga practice. Your physical practice will bring about your natural thinking tendencies such as: judgment, competition, run-away ego or tying your mood to your ability or circumstances that surround you. Becoming aware of your thought processes is the first step in changing them. During your practice, you can become aware of things that could be improved and make that improvement.
