It only seems harder since the amount of weight is exactly the same. The human psyche is very fragile and the weight loss "rebound or yo-yo" effect is quite real and happens when the procedure used to drop those excess pounds is flawed. Losing weight has to be a permanent process and therefore it should be done slowly.
Eating a healthy balanced diet that includes portions of protein, fat and carbohydrate will give your body all of the essential elements that it needs to function properly. When combined with an activity that gets you up and moving, the excess fat will begin to go away at a rate that is acceptable to your body's metabolism.
Most experts advocate a weight loss of 1/2 to 1 pound per week in order to maintain this drop. The internal workings of the human body will not miss this small amount and won't "rebel" against this change. You have to have the proper mindset though and that is where most people fail. It is a long term project, but the rewards are endless.
