Looking at the question, it appears that you are visualising Yoga as a physical activity. Actually, Yoga is all about calming down the mind. Using the body to calm down the mind is called Asana. But Yoga is much much more than Asana. The dimensions of Pranayama (using the breath to calm down the mind) & Dhyan (using the mind itself to calm down the mind) are far more subtle and powerful. You can master these dimensions in which there is no risk of getting injured.
