GIFT is one of the Artificial Reproductive Technologies, where the eggs are harvested after maturation, mixed with the sperm sample and placed back into the fallopian tubes immediately for fertilization.

This process unlike IVF and ZIFT doesn’t involve fertilization outside the body, since fertilization happens inside the uterus almost similar to natural process.
