I am recovering from an injury, can I still practice yoga?

In most cases, yes. It depends on the nature of the injury and how recently it occurred. Yoga can be a gentle support during your rehabilitation. Please check with your doctor first. If he or she gives permission to continue with your yoga practice then talk with your teacher, giving specific details about the injury. Your teacher can help you find alternate poses and a modified practice while you are recovering. Ultimately, since you are in your body, it is your responsibility to be aware of your body's needs and limitations. Let your teacher know if any of the movements do not feel right to you.
