Symptoms

 

  • Excessive hair growth on face, hands, legs, etc.
  • Dark or very coarse growth

  • Puberty or attaining teenage
  • Hormonal changes like menopause too can cause random hair growth
  • Sometimes it is also in the genes

 

Home remedies for getting rid of unwanted body hair

 

Gramflour

  • Take about half a bowl of gram flour. Mix it with some lemon juice and milk to get a thick paste.
  • Apply over all of the areas you want to get rid of hair from. Let it dry.
  • When dry, take some fresh cream or milk or even water. Now scrub off the paste in the direction opposite the hair growth. You can also add some saffron here to make skin tone lighter.

 

Red Lentils and Fenugreek

 

  • Red lentils combined with dry fenugreek helps in getting rid of unwanted hair growth.
  • Soak a handful or red lentils in some milk. In the morning puree the same in a mixture.
  • Similarly soak some fenugreek seeds too. Puree them along with lentils.
  • Apply all over the body. When dry, scrape off using warm water or even some milk.

 

Wheat flour

  • Whole wheat flour is a great alternative to get rid of unwanted body and facial hair.
  • Take about a handful of wheat flour. To this add some milk and saffron (soaked in milk).
  • Turn it into a thick paste. Apply over all of the areas you want to get rid of hair from.
  • Remember to apply the paste in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
  • When dry, take some mustard oil and start scraping. This gets rid of unwanted hair and also makes skin tone lighter.

 

Bread and milk

 

  • Soak a bit of bread in little milk. Once the bread is spongy and wet, soak off excess milk.
  • Now use this milk to scrape areas of unwanted hair growth.

 

Potatoes with lentils

  • Take a handful of yellow lentils. Soak it overnight in some water.
  • In the morning crush a potato and churn in the mixture with the lentils. Use boiled potatoes.
  • To this you can also add some honey and lemon juice. Take this thick paste and apply all over the affected areas.
  • When it is dry, you can start scraping it gently and get rid of unwanted hair from the body and the face too.

Aloe Vera

  • Extract the pulp from the aloe vera and apply to the hair.
  • This should be done on already washed hair.
  • Rinse off after fifteen minutes.

Greek yoghurt

  • Yoghurt is an excellent conditioner for the hair and solves a lot of hair related problems.
  • Add honey and lemon juice to two tablespoons of greek yoghurt and make a paste.

    •    Antibacterial properties of apple cider vinegar helps treat sore throat.

    •    Add one teaspoon each of lemon juice and honey and one tablespoon of unfiltered, raw apple cider vinegar to a cup of warm water. Drink it 2-3 times daily.

    •    You can also gargle with apple cider vinegar solution; add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of salt to a cup of warm water and gargle with it several times a day.

    •    Mix one teaspoon each of cinnamon powder and black pepper with a glass of warm water. Strain this mixture and gargle with it several times a day.

    •    Antibacterial and antiseptic properties of garlic helps treat as well as prevent sore throat.

    •    Consume 2-3 raw garlic cloves daily.

    •    Alternatively, add 4-5 drops of garlic oil to 1/4th cup of water and gargle with it 1-2 times daily.

    •    Mix one tablespoon each of roasted, crushed  pumpkin seeds and honey. Eat this mixture first thing in the morning for about a week. 

    •    Alternatively, add 2 tablespoons of crushed pumpkin seeds to 3 cups of boiling water. Let it boil for another 20-30 minutes. Allow it to cool and drink it.

    •    Eat 3-4 fresh, raw garlic cloves on an empty stomach daily for about a week.

    •    Alternatively, add 2 crushed garlic cloves to half a cup of milk and boil it. Drink it on an empty stomach, repeat daily for about a week.

  • Cut a ginger root into slices and add it to a cup of water. Boil it for 3-4 minutes and then simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Strain it and add little honey. Drink this 3-4 times daily to improve digestion and ease stomach ache.

Fennel

 

  • Fennel seeds are a great remedy for stomach ache caused due to indigestion. Fennel seeds have anti-microbial, pain reducing, diuretic, and carminative properties.
  • Mix one teaspoon of fennel seed powder to a cup of water and boil it for 7-8 minutes. Allow it to cool and strain it. Add little honey and drink it.

  • Asefetida, also known as hing, is helpful for treating stomach ache due to its antispasmodic and antiflatulent properties.
  • Add a pinch of asefetida to a glass of water and drink it. Repeat 3-4 times a day.
  • Alternatively, add a pinch of asefetida and salt to a glass of buttermilk and drink it 1-2 times a day.
